A confusing book. :S So much drama in all these rich people's lives. Damn they can go to hell. I hated them. Nick and Jordan can stay though. And George Wilson cause I pity him. The rest can go. Especially Tom. I hated Myrtle (Moaning Myrtle lol) and all her weird friends. Weird stuff they all did. And I hated that Nick and Jordan broke up. Such a waste. I thought they were a good couple. I only continued reading because of them.

One of the best book I have ever read, I was genuinely surprised why this did not received higher ratings. Continue from the cliff hanger at the end of Tobie Alone, Monsieur de Fombelle has outdone himself. Avoiding spoilers, I'll try to be brief, in Elisha's eyes( the literal translation, I have no idea why the English edition was titled what it is), one can actually see the characters grow, see them become real, no longer some single-layered fictional creation. Seemingly unrelated, various big events as well as inconspicuously insignificant ones all came together for the grand finale, as the many threads of a carpet. Please do not view this duo as a children's book or some Eco-friendly novel preaching about wild-life conservation; instead embrace it as a grand adventure with affable characters and intriguing mysteries. Improbable at first, but in the end, all made perfect sense, in the words of the late Ray Bradbury:"Looking back over a lifetime, you see that love was the answer to everything."

John Grisham has an incredible way of reeling the reader in and surprising them at the very end. When I thought I knew the twist, I realized there was more story to unfold! The Summons is a fantastic read ~ Grisham doesn't disappoint! Two brothers are summoned to their father's death bed, a retired Judge with almost royal status in his community though no relationship with his boys. The men show up and their father's dead ~ only to discover a number of secrets he'd been holding besides the fact that he'd left hardly anything to either of them. Follow the main character, Ray, as he battles with his own secrets and integrity along the way of solving the mysteries of his father. Loved it!

I still loved this book, even though it is my least favourite, probably because poor Harry is traumatized and scarred by Dolores Umbridge, a real witch is there ever was one. I'd like to see her tortured for the way she treated Harry and all the students.

Very, very, very bizarre! I've read several of his books now (sometimes I wonder why!) and they are definitely different. I've appreciated the others more than this. If you're looking for an escape and maybe a laugh without having to think too hard, you might like this.

Ever since Abby's first day in a new school and new town, Chelsea has been there to give her the inside scoop on how to stay cool and popular while navigating the sixth grade. Now that the spring dance is coming up, Chelsea is determined to ask Nathan, a seventh grader, to go with her, and insists that Abby ask one of his friends so that they can go as a group. Abby hasn't even considered who to ask yet (the dance is girl's choice), but she doesn't even know any of Nathan's friends. How is she supposed to ask one of them to a dance? Abby's life gets a little more interesting when she starts getting daily horoscope updates thanks to this online service that Chelsea signed her up for. Although Abby never believed in things like horoscopes, when it tells her to "go for" an exciting new opportunity, right after her teacher recommends that she run for class treasurer, Abby takes that as a sign, and begins to believe a little more. Thanks to Chelsea's prodding, Abby now needs courage to ask Nathan's friend to the dance, and the horoscopes keep telling her to "take a chance on someone new." While Abby struggles to take that chance, she's sure that the universe is directing her and she now must follow. So why do things seem much more complicated than they need to be? This is the second book by Ms. McCoy that I've read for Scholastic's Candy Apple line, and once again, she's managed to impress me with her excellent characterization and natural dialogue. She makes her books so easy to enjoy.

I am so glad this book is in chronological order!! Drives me crazy when bios jump back and forth. I thought this was a very interesting and heart felt life (so far) story. Much better than other biographies I've read. I only wish I had gotten the audiobook so I could hear the story in Jane Lynch's own voice.
