This was a disappointment after Water for Elephants; I had high hopes! The story was just okay, and was made worse by the overly-dramatic reading. While the reader was quite good at changing his voice to suit each character (even the female characters), it became...very annoying...when he would...create big pauses...in the reading. Ugh!

Speechless...almost. Not quite as good (in my opinion which many do not share) as Everything is Illuminated. But if you like a more believable, less fantastical story, this could be a better fit.

Peter Pan mungkin salah satu dongeng yang paling asyik untuk diutak-atik, karena begitu banyak 'why' dan 'what if' yang tak pernah terjelaskan oleh sang pengarang, J.M. Barry. It's sooo magical.

JR Ward, once again, held up to the test. She always continues to amaze me with the kind of imagination she has and how she can translate it into words, so that we can see it with our minds. The thing that I love about the way she writes, is that she NEVER uses the same words to describe something that is mentioned multiple times in a book. Instead, she comes up with different ways to say it, but keeps the same sort of image of that thing mentioned in your mind. Covet was a great read. Different than the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, yet, just as comfortable to read as the previous mentioned series. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I always look forward to her new characters.
Really enjoyed this book! I probably wouldn't have picked it to read if it weren't the book club selection for April. But I am so glad that it was. Highly recommend it. It's a quick read; I read it in two days. It's the kind of book that you just want to keep reading to find out what happens to this man and his son.

This was good. Very good mix of classic stuff and contemporary too. And for this time, even the recent stuff was really good. Although the art in those recent one was really confusing, I found some characters looking too similar to each other and because of that.... confusing. But really good compilation this was. Returned my belief to Star Wars comics. Timo
Brian Costello does an awesome job of letting your imagination fill in the blanks with what would be the world's most fun underground band. I greatly enjoyed the absurdity of The Enchanters and their suburban "lands." However, the constant references to real-world bands and lyrics really took me out of the book. Costello's idea of an influential and hip real-world band is not my own, so I felt he compromised a lot of the fun and magic. Still, it's worth reading because of its exploration of music vs. performance art; identity vs. irony; selling out vs. success.

Although not incredibly historically accurate, this was a fun read. I especially enjoy how Philippa Gregory writes the character of Kathryn Howard as a typical teenage girl that you might even know in the present day. Of course, Anne of Cleves is wonderful as we are taken through her change from scared foreigner to steady hand and I love getting a sense of just how crazy Jane Boleyn may have been. Really liked the layout of this story also; going back and forth between the three ladies points of views gave the story a lot of depth.
