I was so excited when I finally got my hands on this book. There were only a few things that I hadn't read before but that didn't stop me from reading them over and experiencing them again. While her written word is no match for her performances (youtube it). You can't help but feel yourself get pulled in. This woman, is simply amazing.

I actually liked the sequel even better, which is very rare. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves to read.
Great book for a great sieries
My fan girl crush on Russell Brand has undoubtedly tainted my outlook on this book. All I can say is that he does a swell job of unfolding the story of his addiction and potentially unhealthy need to be loved. He's coming out with a second installment soon. I shall eat that one up too.
Kingsolver style, but not my favorite. Too much religion and Africa.

Not the strong point of the Mediator series, but still an amazing read :)

fine good
It wasn't until we got through the first couple of vhapters and arrived at Hex Hall that the story really pulled me in. The immaturity of the characters annoyed from time to time, but that's a problem that I have with YA novels once in a while. It was good enough that once I finished it I picked up the sequel in hard cover the same afternoon just to see where the story was headed. Can't wait for the third installment.
Dear Robert Sabuda, How did you come to be so versatile? Everyone knows your stellar pop-up books and strong sense of graphic design, and of course you've done some paper cutouts and collage illustrations, but here you amaze me even further by achieving a glowing, stained-glass effect with - not watercolor - not tissue paper - but batik! Batik, I ask you! I'm only slightly green with envy. I've never seen a book quite like this and I enjoy its uniqueness. Have you tried to illustrate a book with sand art? That might be your only remaining option. I look forward to it. Your textile-challenged fan, Becky PS - On the subject of cloth, see also: Winter Lights by Anna Grossnickle Hines.

Such a good book. I loved the way the author gave you a little bit more information regarding what happened to Little Bee and how she came to be where she is in each chapter. I was told this book is hard to follow, but I did not find that was the case. It was very easy to follow and the story was sooo good.
