Cuộc Phiêu Lưu Trong Những Giấc Mơ - Bút Tẩy Thước... Cậu Ở Đâu? Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

So I'm listening to this right now!--in my car. (And I read it a long time ago...in high school? or college.) I like it! She does a great job. And just fun, the origins of how this book came about. And I guess some book that ended up being involved with Dracula / Nosferatu. Somehow connected. But the funny thing: that Percy Bysshe Shelley himself...[that it was like a contest, right?--or just an exercise they'd all try:] didn't come up with anything--and somebody else was there... but who supposedly were more professional authors. But Mary out-bested them all! So, anyhow, it's a really weird book, too. 1. It feels really old school. Like they had more description then? [Even hearing words used differently than the definitions we now have. Or different synonyms than we'd use?:] My c.d was scratched! So I missed the part right before the monster's born! But I thought, "Huh. There's no lightning." Just kind of woke up. So I thought the movie producers were right, to have lightning. And no Igor. That's interesting. (I made the joke on my facebook page...My c.d. was scratched, so I missed the part with Igor!) Maybe Clairvaux, or whatever, fills that role. I also saw the play one time, when I was a kid. But I think that was different than the book or the movie. I remember a blind man and his daughter?--and/or his house catching on fire. But not in the book, right? I'll find out. Then, okay...so back to being a weird book. (I really don't like the guy reading it, either. Just sounds like he's complaining all the time. "Oh, what a wretch I am. What agony I was going through...etc." And horrible accents. Just like Tom Cruise in that Nazi movie. So, but I noticed one thing, thought almost a mistake. Victor is gone for his family for so long. They're sending letter after letter saying "Come back!" So, then, he finally does--and it is true that someone is on trial for a murder [the monster committed:], so they are a little preoccupied... But there's no mention at all that people are like, "Hey, Victor's back. Good to see you, Victor..." Like, she forgot that part. Kind of a funny oversight. Anyhow! But I like it overall! And I definitely had to choose the picture and version I did! Of the green movie Frankenstein. (I saw a TNT version one time, that I liked.) Another funny thing: why does she tell the story through some intermediary--Victor telling the story to some Arctic or Antarctic explorer. Maybe slows down the story. Probably some trope they used in the old days, I guess. Okay!
