This was a great book. I read this back in 2009 and it is still one of my favourite books. Kelley Armstrong's writing style is amazing. She really knows how to keep the reader's intrest. I really liked chloe in this book, she is just your average teenager. With a twist. Now, I dont want to spoil anything here,so I wil keep this brief. I really recommend this book to anyone that like paranormal kind of stories, and I am positive that you will like it nonetheless. Great, great book.

A cute little variation on the story of beauty and the beast, it makes the characters deeper, the story a little more believable (if it can be believable at all). I liked it.
I'm just a sucker for Chuck Palahniuk so it's really just a waste of time trying to write a review - he's got a hook and I'm on it.
Engaging.

One of my all-time favorites. I've read it 3 or 4 times and each time, it's a different experience.
Moms will identify with this one, and kids will like the goofy bits--the casserole with pickled grubs, having no napkin to hide the lima beans. And as the kid points out chickens don't HAVE teeth--so what's with the toothbrushes anyway?

I love Murakami, and had very high hopes for this novel. The thing is, not only did he meet my expectations, he exceeded them. This is one of the best books I've read in the last ten years, easy. I don't know how he does it.

Details commodities to an exacting detail. The third volume is heavily edited by Engels and I never bought it. Or something like that.

I really like the way she writes, the characters are real and interesting.

Well, first off, i must admit, four stars are as much nostalgia as anything else - i wasn't really feeling the book this time around. However, Madeleine was entranced, and excited about Jane and Michael. (Not as in love as with Laura and Mary, i think, but interested none-the-less.) I suppose my adult interpretation noticed just how much of the book was fantastical elements, and how not as much was on the relationship story. As a kid, i think my take away was the love for the wonderful Nanny more than the fairy tale stories. Also, as a side note, i realize, with the magic of Amazon, just how many of the series i read growing up had further stories than those i was familiar with. I read Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Comes Back MANY times. (I found an old note passed in sixth grade class in the back of this copy.) But i never realized there were MORE.
