Definitely an enjoyable read; I can see why everyone always raves about P&P. I think I liked Mr. Darcy even more in his original incarnation than as portrayed by Collin Firth (and that's saying quite a lot!). It was fun to watch his character change so much. And to see Elizabeth become so agitated. I don't know that it's a book I would read more than once, but I did enjoy it.

It was a little anti-climatic. Interesting twist at then end. Still never found out what the talent was of some of the characters that came and left. Lots of loose ends, but it was an okay book.

I'm working my way through Meg Cabot's YM books and am not normally into paranormal lit. But I found book 1 of the series very enjoyable and am look forward to reading the rest. This is a quick read, and enjoyable for Meg fans of all ages

I had looked over and passed over this book many, many times and finally cracked it open....and....couldn't put it down. The story of a missionary family in the Congo is fascinating as told alternately through the voices of the wife and 4 daughters of a southern Baptist minister. The characters are so vivid that I found myself gritting my teeth in frustration through some chapters and mentally cheering and nodding agreement in others. While the work is "fiction" the depth of the story, historical references and biblical anecdotes make the Poisonwood Bible authentic and full of impact. It got me thinking a lot about U.S. politics and priorities as well as my own spiritual beliefs and ideas of family.
