Howl's Moving Castle has an interesting story and characters I grew to like, but it has to be one of the poorest written novels I've ever read. Weird word choices. Poor grammar. Confusing and weak sentence structures. It's a fast read, but not an easy read. There were quite a few times when I had to stop and re-read something a few times to dicipher what it meant. The story was good, the plot was somewhat confusing, but I liked the characters. Skip the book. Watch the movie instead.

This book pulls your heart out (not necessarily rips), takes it apart, and puts it back together like a rubik's cube. I love how Foer always takes two different stories and weaves them together giving you ah-ha moments. I think I underlined something on every page. It changes lives.
