Can't decided if I like this or hate it. It almost seems as thought the narrator is to clever. Very similar to Icarus Girl and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night. My favorite parts are Haig's capturing of the Sunderland dialect and the descriptions of the interactions at school.

It's rare that I finish a book and don't really know what I thought about it. I Liked the beginning, REALLY liked the last 20 pages and tolerated the middle. One thing that really bothered me is that one of the main characters is about 6 weeks pregnant when she "feels" her baby moving inside of her. CRAP. Everyone who has ever had a baby knows that you don't feel your baby moving till 3 months at the earliest and up to 5 months for first time moms! For some reason it really took me out of the story. It was creepy and fun. Shoulder shrug. 2.5 stars.
