Simply the best space opera, and the best series of novels I've ever read. This is the first of the nine, and while the last three show signs of fatigue, these novels capture a cast of characters, and one in Marc Remillard, that are truly memorable. From the worlds and milieu May imagines to her evocative themes, the novels capture humanity with all its foibles and promise, and if you stick around for #6, you'll get the best plot twist in all of bookdom.

This book Has already been delivered to McNally Robertson. They are waiting for the other book in this series to arrive at the store. And then I can go and pick them both up This book is finally delivered. 15th Feb 2011. I finally got the last two books in this series. I find the story still quite beleivable, but am growing tired if the format. A few pages of tranquility and then action again and tensin. I guess that is what young people want.

Essays by my grandfather on a few topics, most of them about education. I also like them.

Absolutely positively the BEST!!!!! What a loss.
Guessing this is my 5th reading, probably. Stunning as ever, contains perhaps my favorite passage in all of literature.

It was decent. I actually enjoyed the more social/political portion of it more than the hunt for the murderer. I found that towards the middle when the book shifted focal points from the the main characters ordeal with the government to focusing on him hunting down the killer, I was a little disappointed there wasn't more written on the conspiracy. Overall, I found it enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good thriller.

This is my favorite of all the "What to Expect" books. It informs you on good nutrition during your pregnancy. It also provides lots of easy tips and recipes on how to get the most nutritional foods. It also has recommendations on the things to eat while trying to conceive. I followed the recommendations of this book pretty closely, and I've had a very healthy pregnancy, gaining only the "minimum" acceptable weight, with no nutritional deficiencies, no problems with Gestational Diabetes, no low iron, no high blood sugar, no swelling etc. I wasn't as good as I should have been with the "veggies" b/c the thought of eating veggies my first trimester made me sick. However, the prenatal vitamins and fruit that I ate seemed to make up for it.

2/24/11 I plan on starting this this weekend and expect a great read - Should be finishe by Mon because Dana Stabenow has never let me down! I just keep reading and then I'm sorry I've finished. Oh well, it's what I do...I gotta read! 3/7/11 Okay, I put this aside so I could fulfill some review commitments...BUT, as expected Dana Stabenow didn't let me down. She does never has a single wimpy character in any of her books (not even the villians). I love her Kate Shugak novels (alright, you caught me I love all of her novels) and Kate certainly is not of the flighty pampered heroines! In this one Ms. Stabenow weaves the story of a decades old family mystery into a contemporary investigation.

This is the first Michael Connelly book that I tossed across the room in disgust when I finished it. Lame, not worthy of his usually sharp plotting or well-conceived characters. I have a theory that mystery writers almost always do themselves (AND their readers) a disservice when they veer into science, the Internets, etc for plot points.

A great book about how the first world war and technology killed romance, art, and created dadaism.
