This book HOME and the book THE HELP read together would make the most awesome book club reads. They will generate numerous comparison and add to critical thinking about the authors voice in writing. Great examples for any writers group that seeks to read like writers!!

It took me a little while to get into this book but I really wanted to know what would become of Dex and Em. I couldn't put the book down.
i have an illustration and an interview in this book for aspiring illustrators. when people ask me questions about how to get started, i tell them to start here.

Powell sits his book's butt firmly down in the tradition of realistic &/or actually real mental illness graphic novels, such as David B.'s Epileptic. I am really not sure if this is an extensive tradition, but it will or should be.

A really great informational book about backpacking. It covers a little about a lot of topics and has some fun little personal stories about peoples' experiences. It's also written specifically for women so it talks about all the things that are different for women like finding backpacks and physical training.

I was really really disappointed. I dont know which is worst, being disappointed in this book, or with my fellow goodreads reviewers great reviews! The topic was different and in the end you stop wondering if its possible to insert a soul into a body and accept it and go with the story. But the story was unnecessiraly long! After reading everyone's reviews I kept reading and hoping the story will pick up. After page 134 the story started picking up a bit. I suffered through the boring first 134 pages since everyone who had read the book said it was great. It's not! Save your precious time and read something else. I loved Twilight (not the series, but Twilight and Midnight Sun), so I thought a book for adults must be good! Well it wasn't. I also dont understand why in her books Stephenie Meyer has to create a character who is the kindest, most tolerant, self-sacrificing character? It gets ANNOYING!!!! At the end of the Twilight series I ended up not liking Edward's character at all because of this. In this book Wanda is the same, too nice, too kind, too forgiving, too ANNOYING!!!! There was no twist at the end and she left the book so it ends up as a series. She should stop with the SAPPY love sick annoying goody-goody characters and create characters which the reader can respect and connect with.

Didn't care for the sister/main character in this book. Liked her as supporting character in the first book better. Fun concept though!
