I really enjoyed this book....not only the content, but also getting to know Robin McGraw. I love her recurring message about life being a series of choices. We are who we choose to be! Her honesty about her own family problems and issues she has had to deal with as a mother were very encouraging. I admire her for her role as a stay-at-home-mom, and now for taking on something like writing a book because it's something she wanted to do. She hasn't lost her self identity, and she isn't about to sit home and crawl inside herself just because her sons are grown and out of the house now. A quick and easy read that will lift a woman's spirits!

I enjoyed the first part of this book due to the clear explanation of why the crime was committed. I became confused in the second half due to my lack of knowledge of the parties involved in the Isreal/Arab conflicts.

Not as good as earlier Stuart Woods but much better than Hot Mahogany.

This book was much better than I had originally thought it might be. I got a little lost in the words especially at first but in the end really enjoyed it. It is not a fast read but worth the effort.

great story centered on Omar Khayyam of Rubaiyat fame. It's translated, I believe, from french, and this may explain a bit of the syntactical problems. otherwise, its a good read, it gives insight into the fictional lives of real-world personalities like Hassan al-Sabbah, the founder of the assassin's guild, and Nizam-al-Mulk, the famed vizier. It deals with a part of the world that is often neglected, and forgotten. Maalouf writes in an engaging manner, and the plot he's constructed of historical fiction within historical fiction serves him well. I really felt the depth of the character, but it is popular fiction and read like a thriller.

I enjoyed this kind of in the same way I enjoy an action movie. Just a nice diversion and way to relax for a couple of hours. It's much more about the characters than the mystery, which the solving of, drawn out in it's "procedural" style is kind of boring and definitely happenstance. Also fun to read something set in Sweden. Not critical to the story, but does add a layer to it.

Great book. I kept wanting to go to the internet and read about the tribe. It was mental journey into storyland that I did not want to leave.
