There's a lot o' hype about this book, so thought I would give it a shot. As fascinating as it is (in just the first 30 pages), I sometimes wonder if some of Levitt's correlations are totally random and just seem to make sense. I guess I'll keep reading...

** spoiler alert ** Wow! Just WOW! I love this series!! Once again Suzanne Collins manages to drag me into her world and hold me as a captivated hostage. Not that I mind. This world she has created is so wrought with mystery, danger, politics, rebellion, sacrifice and adventure I can't get enough. And I adore the characters of Katniss and Peeta. Which is why the ending makes me slightly upset. I only say slightly because things are never quite what they seem in the Hunger Games so I am sure we will see Peeta again. But then, when we do, who to choose? I can understand Katniss' dilemma. On one hand you have Gale who has been her best friend and confidant for most of her life. On the other hand Katniss and Peeta have experienced things in the games Gale would never understand because he never lived them. The kind of things that could bring two people together. Will we get a decision about who she picks in the third book? I can't wait to find out. And I am so proud of the people of Pannem for finally standing up for themselves. A revolution is brewing and it is going to be painful but glorious!

really good writing, I felt like I could have been there...very detailed, even some of the mundane day to day things were brought out and were interesting because they were happening in a different time. heartbreaking, but with a twist at the end. (and we know there's at least 6 more books, so.)

i've been reading this book for about a year. it is packs full of grammar dos and donts, but it's a lot to take in at one time, so i have to read a chapter, process it and then come back to the book a week later. you'll be surprised of all the incorrect grammar you've been using!

What first attracted me to this book is the cover. It's pretty and Paris is the most romantic and beautiful city in the world. But the story is not as romantic as the cover promises. It has the same elements of all chic lit stories, in my opinion. So it was just okay for me. And the other thing is that this is apparently the third book in the series, so I didn't really know the beginning, which makes it confusing sometimes and hard to get into the characters and their relationship. But it was just okay, a fluff and easy read..
