2nd in a series about Dr. Kate Holly, a therapist with a wacky clientele, a hunky ex-husband and a over zealous ex-boyfriend and work associate. I enjoyed it, several LOL moments.

You have to appreciate a book that starts off with a nice, pleasant murder.

It's very rare that I don't finish a book but in this case, I was happy to make an exception. I listened to about half of it and gave up. What a huge bore.

Yet another book that I love. This was my favorite of the series.

Incredibly real, well written, convinced I will stop at nothing to 'prohibit' "addiction" in my child/children!

Fun read. Interesting, stimulating, thought-provoking. Along the lines of Freakonomics.

A lot shorter than I remember, but it lived it to the memories.

Graphic novel, NBA nominee and winner of the Michael L. Printz award. Clever book that combines the tale of Monkey from The Journey to the West with a young man’s need to accept his identity (and its cultural baggage) in the contemporary United States. It is cleverly wrought, but is it more than it appears to be? Is anything? Maybe the best thing is to be exactly what you appear to be. Maybe I’ve been barking up the wrong tree looking for a graphic novel to be about more than it appears to be about. Hmm.

I picked this up in new orleans to pass time, and didn't pick it up again till recently. It's an interesting book for those that have paid attention to the tradition and are ready for yet another critique of reason. it's dense but well written, and he prepares a bit of a cleared field for the more substantial phenomenolgists to follow. I enjoy his positive criticism of natural and historical philosophies, as he doesn't become melodramatic or condemnatory. But, nothing particularly novel. His thought is clear and elloquent, for which reason, a pleasure to read, but not a real eye opener. a great sleeping pill with a warm beer. I recommend this to any one who takes materialism to an annoying extreme.
