This book is about Piglet. Piglet is a cowerd. Rightly so. He is very small. There are alot of things Piglet can't do. Yet through the book Piglet learns. And what he learns is very unique to his charictor. The book highlights some phiosiphy of Taoism as well. Very good read. You will find yourself thinking about it and wanted to talk to people about it afterwords. I think it changed my outlook when I read it at 16. Although its probably good for grown ups too.

A just ok thriller about a TV reporter, Wendy Tynes, who begins to believe that she has wrongfully accused social worker Dan Mercer of pedophila. Nothing wrong with this book; it moves along quickly and is reasonably well written. Moreover, it raises an interesting issue about how easy it is, in this internet, instant-messaging age, to start ugly rumors and have them "go viral"; thus destroying someone's life even if the rumors are ultimaly proven untrue. Other than that--a competent, although predictable, summer read.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I expected it to be a mushy romance but there was alot of fun and action in it too, and a little supsense. It moved a little slow in parts, but overall an enjoyable book.

A generous three stars. I don't read mysteries because I figure out "whodunit" from the start. What a letdown. On a positive note, French writes well and develops characters well but reallllly (that was for my husband), that's all you got?!?! There are two mysteries going on and the interesting one is left unresolved? It was in the background the whole time, it's why Ryan is who he is! I just read 400+ pages of tiny font and that's all I get? Not to mention, the last 1/4 of the book felt forced and lacked flow. The dialogue between Cassie and Rosalind sucked. I stayed up late to finish it. I'm tired. I'm over it.

Disappointing. It was beautifully written but I didn't care a spot about any of the characters. If it had been a longer book I wouldn't have bothered slogging through it. I usually love Giller winners but this one was a fail.

Rating: 3.90 Now that I've finished it - I have to say this: The mystery itself isn't all that good but it's what happens on the way to the final answer which is interesting. I loved the writing. Loved the little tidbits of knowledge I could get. The characters were interesting although some were under-developed...
