wish the book was bigger. the pictures and writing kinda small. But great pictures and I am envious for such an adventure. I liked how each chapter had the area he was visiting highlighted against a total map of China so one could really see where he was going.

I really liked this book- It starts out kind slow but i love that it covers allot about life. It deals with family problems, a drunk father, and Lucy always falling for the wrong guys and she doesn't know why. and it's a romance as well. defiantly worth reading!

After I finished Lahiri's The Namesake, I was desperate for more of her work, so I picked up Interpreted of Maladies and I was not disappointed. My only complaint is that the short stories (the book is a compilation of four short stories) were too short... I was sad to see each of them end. Anyone know when Lahiri has something else coming out?

I thought this book would be funnier than it actually was. The main character gets caught trying to steal a painting and claims amnesia; the owner then tells her that she's his wife and so she's stuck staying. I thought the setup was hilarious, but I don't think the author milked it enough. My favorite character ended up being the weak-willed, charming Four.
