We had an abbreviated version of this training in a Legal Dept. staff meeting and I was surprised at how relevant it was working with inmates and criminal defendants. It really does make you view the classes differently and sheds light on why groups of people act differntly from each other, make the decisions they do, speak differntly and value different things.

Fair enough. The protags weren't too broken or too stupid to live. I'm not sure if it's just me and my current attitude and poor health, but I found the erotica boring. It was hot enough, but I was bored by the frequency and wanted more story. Since I jumped right into the second one I guess I didn't abuse myself enough.
Now we know what would happen if a Jackie Collins novel mated with a Stephen King novel and the story was made into a National Lampoon movie. This is a bizarre story of two dysfunctional families that is very-well written and oddly funny. It's a testament to human resilience that the author didn't grow up to be a serial killer.

I spent half my time reading this book shouting at the pages. The Twilight Saga is a perfect example of the myriad things teenagers still have to learn and why they are not considered "adults."

A terrific bedtime book, over about 2 weeks. Chaya's favourite at 6 1/2, and has led us into the rest of the Nesbit oeuvre. It starts with the children protagonists' father being mysteriously arrested, and the family abruptly plunged into poverty, which might have seemed frightening, but somehow wasn't. In any case, this was just a device for getting the family out of London and into a country shack where they could experience the full measure of the magical allure of the steam train. Nesbit's children are a marvelous mixture of adventurous, mischievous, and fundamentally decent and responsible.
Good Story. Looking for the sequel.

Let me start off by saying that really good creepy is hard to come by but Katie Alender’s Bad Girls Don’t Die is perfectly creepy and eerie with a tinge of mystery and that has made me immensely happy. I was hooked into the richly moody story of a girl, Alexis, in a small town where she is a lonely outsider. Not the kind that wallows in self pity but one with confidence and with reassurance that what she does is right but foremost is true to who she is. There are two things that are an issue for her: her sister, Kasey, and the cheerleaders. Her sister is a character that I was bizarrely intrigued by her personality and her character tendencies. Though the cheerleaders are a bunch of stereotypical characters they throw us a bone towards the end and leave me quite content. Megan on the other hand is a major curve ball... but read the book to find out why. The plot moves at a steady pace and it accelerates to top speed at points leaving the reader a tad breathless. Now, the creepiness….. WOW! It is eerie and moody and …. I am sadly running out of adjectives. But what I can say is that it gave me that creepy crawly tingly feeling where due to the spooky nature I had to read this book during the day. The writing is sarcastic, witty and never a dull moment. The mystery part though predictable only on a few occasions still left me reeling with surprise when the plot turns a different direction than expected. Bad Girls Don’t Die has a perfect blend of characters that keep you holding tight as the story spirals out of control and into a climatic ending and I am not only satisfied but I recommend this book to anyone needing a good spooky thrill. I give this book a 85/100 B+ Characters- 17 Plot- 17 Writing- 16 Originality- 17 Re-Readability- 18
