I'm debating between 3 and 4. This book was more interesting than I expected it to be. it's an autobiographical account of Steinbeck's trek across America with his dog. It's not really about anything, but his thoughts are interesting and sent my mind leaping to thought, which I like. Often times he did ramble on too much and I'm not a dog person and didn't really care about his dog, but it certainly made me feel old. You get to a time in your life where you do more reflecting than living.

This is THE book. Oscar Wilde writes with so much heart. His stories just ooze heart. Of all of his writings, Dorian Grey is probably my least favorite, and it is a masterpiece! The Happy Prince will tear your heart out. It is the most beautiful story I have ever read in my entire life. It is one of the things in my life that touched my heart so deeply that all I could do was cry at it's raw, pure, beauty. Every story has that same pure loveliness. This is a book that you can read over and over and everytime it still just melts your heart. I am so in love with this book! Oh, to have been a gay man in Oscar Wilde's time! I would have been the Adam to his Steve any day!

I have to be honest... I didn't even finish this book. I don't do that very often, especially with books this short, but it had to be done. It hadn't caught me at all by the halfway point. It was taking me forever to read each page because I'd zone out and read the same paragraph over and over again without realizing it. The characters, the story... None of it was interesting to me. I know a lot of people love this series, and I really wanted to love it too, but it just wasn't doing it for me.

This was actually pretty cute. I really like Jane Green's style, because she doesn't just write fluffy novels like a lot of authors in this genre. She talks about serious topics in a realistic kind of way, and her characters are very likable, even when they're doing not-so-great things.
