I thought this would be about Emily (killer) and I kinda felt like it was. But I don't really like her... Emily and Hanna are the only two I feel bad for. (H getting a new phone and E telling Isaac-spelling?) Spencer and Aria just keep on hiding things and sneaking around and stuff. Loved the book though. I totally can relate to Aria and Hanna they are my fav. I *hate* Kate.

One of the better authors of the Star Wars genre, with action and scope, a good grasp of canon and a willing depth and new storyline material that meshes well with the universe they must measure up to.

This collection of three of Mike Leigh's screenplays - Naked, Life is Sweet, and High Hopes, is a good reference for fans of Mike Leigh and these three films especially. It also comes with a great interview with Mike Leigh that provides excellent context for the films themselves. My only problem with the book is that "Naked" - the screenplay and the film - towers over the other two works. They're two of his lighter works, and Naked is his magnum opus. There was a time when I used this book as an oracle - I would just leave it out and randomly open it to a page in Naked for insight. Simply brilliant.

The weakest book in the series. Simon becomes a bit preachy and it the plot is really just another judgement day, like in the title. Another Biblical monster comes to take on the Nightside, John searches for an evil Artefact and in the end is goody goody and defeats him. Yes, it had interesting characters, yes, it was well-written, fast paced and humorous and yes it had its strong moments and battles, but I expect more from Simon R. Green, a man, who has written masterpieces like the "Deathstalker" novels or "Blue Moon Rising". I miss the times when his worlds were mysterious and open for interpretation and he was not hammering the reader with questions of faith and God all the time. On the other hand, the epilogue looks promising. After this novel apparently a new storyline will start and while I think that the series should have ended in book six, I am fully aware that Green is an author who can bounce back with a great book very quickly. My only hope is that he will focus on fantasy stories about weird creatures and deities from other realities and not on problems of faith and religion, which have been causes mostly for human suffering and annoying novels.

This is one of my most favorite books ever. This book transformed me. There's a passage about a flock of wild red birds that is forever stamped in my memory ...
I really enjoyed this book. More depth to the main character than I've seen a long time in a chick lit novel.

This is a book, not only about a Superbowl Champion Quarterback, but a story about perseverance. A story about wanting one thing one day, and realizing you meant for something greater. I knew of Drew Brees when I got the book, I only knew he was the QB that took New Orleans to the Superbowl and won. Heck, I watched the game and cheered him on. But I had no idea the life he lived to lead him to that point, nor how significant that moment he raised his son above his head when he won, would turn out to be. The only way I would know was reading this book, and based on that, I urge you to do the same. 3.5/5
