As a fat girl wanting to be a actress on broadway, this book was close to my heart. I enjoyed it because it showed that if I work hard maybe I can be on Broadway too. The book is also very funny when she talks about her childhood. I enjoyed this book a lot. Only took be 3 days to read.

I truly enjoyed this historical fiction story about Doug Swieteck's experiences as a middle school boy in the 1960's. Schmidt describes the struggles of this young boy's family in a way that makes the reader feel his range of emotions. I found myself rooting for him through his ups and downs. I appreciated Schmidt's attempt to write in a style that would appeal to young readers. This may be one I would consider as a read aloud to my third grade students, but I do feel it may be more appropriate for a slightly older demographic.

A great book on making your web apps more focused, pleasant for the user, and for lack of another word... more "obvious". Lots of screenshots of good examples of web apps, tons of advice, well-organized, with bits of humor thrown in. It's slim, but it packs a punch. Definitely will be sharing this with my coworkers.

books was o.k., had some very steamy parts, parts of the story felt rushed, particulary the end of the book, it was just wrapped up in a pretty bow. I think it could have been drawn out a little more.
