For my upcoming New Orleans trip, everyone mentioned this as a classic New Orleans novel. But it's old and creaky. Written in a totally different style. And a black Mammy talking in stereotypical New Orleans dialog. For such a fluff novel it took forever to read. It's technically about a murder, but the murder happens in the third chapter, is not really a very interesting crime and then it gets dragged out and not resolved until the final two chapters. The middle just reads like a lot of society fluff. Blah. It took much longer to read than it should have. However, I want to have a drink at Antoine's. Dinner seems expensive.

How do you read a CD? It was okay. I think a majority of books from postmodern writers are starting to become a little accusatory in their presentation. Not all Christians are as bad as they are saying. Many Christians truly are trying to live like Jesus in this world. Just because they happen to be more conservative doesn't mean they are wrong or uncaring to the poor.

the book too much knowledge it is actually write as a thinker althogh it is a tour book the write and his friends visit to a highest hill station in the world in the northern areas of PAKISTAN this book is written during that tour in that tour writer gives too much knowledge which u can't gain from anything else although this book hav sexual appeal at many palces but the writer just paly with the readers sexual appeal for example on his starting he start guessing the his past life he said" when i was in berlin(GERMANY) one day i was travelling by a train i was stting in the train and infront of me suddeny she close to me her legs touches my leg and i feel too much hotness suddenly i stood up and i went towards other palce for smooking she also came to me and start telling me about herself suddenly she put her hand in my shirt........'' this is one example but knowledge is on its peak in this book but one should hav such eye to gain knowledge

Quirky, original book for small children, with excellent illustrations. It was one of our kids' favorites, and they read it innumerable times. Hjalte, who looks like he's about five, has the supernatural gift of being able to pull things out of books and make them come to life. He's been left at home for the evening with a babysitter. As he says: some babysitters are fun, but this one is sooooo boring. (I like the punk rock chick babysitter). Hjalte asks if they can play space pirates, but she just wants to watch TV. Of course, she doesn't know about his magic powers. He goes upstairs, pulls a Pegasus out of his storybook, and they fly out of the bedroom window on a magic adventure together with Nestor, his guinea-pig. The babysitter is still glued to the TV, as Hjalte loops around the church steeple and hitches a ride on an airplane's wing. Then they pick some plums in an orchard, and have an impromptu picnic on the roof. The parents arrive home, and... oops! The babysitter doesn't even know where Hjalte is. I love watching her panic and search everywhere for him, and our kids loved it even more. I'm afraid they must have had their share of boring babysitters. But suddenly, Hjalte and Nestor fly in on the Pegasus, and offer everyone plums. The babysitter looks like she's going to start crying, she's so relieved. But I don't think she ever gets invited back.

Really an 8.5. This book was hilarious and extremely cool. The time travel twist was excellent, and I really didn't see it coming at all. In hind-sight, I maybe should have seen it coming a little bit. Very similar to Fight Club, which was excellent.
