Lisa Bork keeps getting better and better. I enjoyed this book much more that the first two in this series. It was a fun read. The characters seem to be growing, too.

I liked this book, but not as much as his others. I thought he focused way too much time writing about one sleeping character in kind of a "too deep" way. i found myself reading really quickly over certain parts. maybe i just didn't grasp certain concepts.

Everyone always says the book is better than the movie, but the movie has Nicholas Cage (whom I enjoy very much), so I don't know about that. The movie follows the book pretty closely, so if you enjoyed one, you'll probably enjoy the other. Anyway, if you want a quick, funny read about con artists, this book is for you.

I have always had an interest in books of this nature ... I admire Nellie for placing herself in this environment in an effort of getting this story ...unlike today, she would have had an Impossible challenge of getting herself released had anything happened to the people "in the know " .. Getting diagnosed insane was "insanely" easy back then

I remember not appreciating this book when I was in junior high and how geeked out all the other girls were as the movie was quite popular. I am so thankful that I experienced this amazing piece of literature at this point in my life. My favorite Outsiders story is when the most reluctant reader I ever taught asked if he could try to read the book with the rest of the class. I printed off the SparkNotes chapter summaries, he read those and as much of the novel as he could. He was still able to stay involved in the class discussions and successfully complete a project. I have always wondered and hoped that he stuck with school and fought for graduation...I saw him at a football game this year and he thanked me for helping him. I don't think it was me...it was Ponyboy, Johnny, Darry, Dally and the rest of the boys who felt like they didn't fit in either.
the memoirs and adventures of a vet in the English countryside in the 1940s. James Herriot is a pseudonym but the stories are so detailed and addictive that they are vey, very real. the pampered pig, tricki-woo, the cow that pushes out her calves AND her uterus (causing hours of work for the poor vet who has to put things back where they came from)! Herriot as a wonderful sense of humour and one can see him laughing at himself throughout, which makes the books in this series that much more enjoyable. i will just quote the back cover from memory to say that all the stories 'provoke a chuckle, or a lump in the throat'.

I don't know what category to put this in. I am somewhere in the middle of this book but I haven't picked it up in a few months. It's somewhat disappointing in some areas but has some nice information in some chapters. I don't know how unbiased the author is but when I have the time, I might pick it up back and finish reading it.

El primer libro de esta trilogía fue difícil de dejar. Los otros dos, sin embargo, fueron menos convincentes, especialmente el tercero: parecía carecer de cohesión general ... me dio la impresión de estar apurado para terminar.
