The story is fresh and interesting. It was quite fast paced for me and is the sort of book you don't have time to put down.

This book was much better than the first two. Though the others led you to want to KNOW more, they weren't nearly as attention grabbing as City of Glass. She really does a good job at clearing up all the questions you might have and closing the door to their world. What bothered me: The fact that she used the word "ozone" to explain smells... multiple times. It wasn't really a big deal at all, just enough to pop out at you. I'm really glad I decided to finish this series.

** spoiler alert ** First of all. This book gives teenagers the wrong idea of having a boyfriend. Or in Zoey's case: 'boyfriends'. You do not love someone, you don't know. And with knowing someone, I don't mean knowing his mouth. I mean really know him. Knowing in the sentence: He likes thrillers, the colour grey, when he was a child his mother was always drunk, he likes country music. I don't know. Just know something about him, because that creates a deeper bound with the person. And it also creates a bound with de readers self. I missed that in this book. In THIS book, the main character only thought about a few things: Blood. Heath. Erik. Loren. And after all these things maybe her dead best friend that need to be saved: Stevie Rea. I don't know why so many readers even like this book. It contains so many bad things that you can't even call this a book. Or they just like the kissing-scenes and one sex scene with, wait for it... A TEACHER! And after this scene she realized she made a BIG mistake. Losing her virginity to a guy she barely knows. Losing it to someone who only called her beautiful and made her feel more mature. A REAL woman. This was the only reason. Well, I'm going to stop on this point, because I can keep going on on this subject for hours. My little sister wanted to read this book too. I thought OK, why not? But after reading the third book of the series, I'm only glad that I didn't gave her the first three books. This is no material for thirteen year old girls. You can't blame your mentally health for your slettyness (is this even a word?). You're just a slet This brings me to another thing she kept saying in this book: 'Oh, God I'm sooooo becoming a slet' And after that she went to Loren to make out with him in the libraray. No you weren't BECOMING a slet. You WERE already one! Why would a goddess give a seventeen year old girl who can only think about sex and blood so much power? The only awnser I've got is that Nux couldn't give it to somebody else at the time. And it was Zoey (the sex and blood junk) or a nine year old who just started reading. If you think about it, I think I would give it to the kid (a nine year old is more responsible and mature than Zoey could ever be) Why was Zoey crying all the time? Why is she so weak? She tried to break up with Heath for I think at least three times. Did she succeed? No, because right after she smelled his blood, she forgot what she wanted to do and jumped on him to drink it up. The main chracter is to naieve. To think that somebody loves you after a few kisses and a few conversations, that is even worse than being naieve. She hid a few things for her friends, not because she liked doing that, but because it is dangerous for her friends to know about those things. Well, that is sooo wrong! She isn't a friend anymore because she LIED! Oh! Please, lies belong in a good friendship! Why does everyone hate Aphrodite? Really, what did she ever do to them? Except for using Stevie Rea as a fridge, HEY, wait, Stevie Rea VOLUNTEERD! So there is no reason for hating her. Or I forgot it. Was it something with Erik? Well, just leave it. Aphrodite DID some good things in this book. She gave Stevie Rea a place where she can sleep. She also kept this secret. And what does Stevie Rea at the end. She bites her. Ow bad Aphrodite! You gave me shelter and food and you did not tell anyone about me. Now I have to kill you for that. That scene just didn't make any sense. I hate the so-called twins. They are irritating and not funny. They hate someone (Aphrodite) just because they hate her. They keep calling her a what was it? A hellcat? They don't even know what it means! God, I hate all the Characters in this book. Except for Neferet. I like her. She's evil and hates Zoey. Welcome to the I-hate-Zoey club. Who wants to join? Nothing really happened in this book. Except for a few murders and Stevie Rea getting better. So it was also boring. In short: I truly, really hate this book form the deep of my heart.

One of my favorite books when I was a kid. My friend actually read it every year through 8th grade as his summer reading book.
I have mixed feelings about this story. One the one hand I loved that the sympathetic hero was the Earl and the annoying antagonist was the Lady. I disliked that the Lady was able to jerk the Earl around and toy with his feelings "to improve him." Kesseley has been in love with his neighbor Henreitta for years. Sh, however, does not return his feelings, and instead uses his emotions and his friendship for her own gains. Henreitta gets Kesseley to take her to London to find him a wife (a ruse to use Kesseley to help her win back her supposed beau), and as the Season progresses she does her utmost to change who he is, until he finally realizes what a twit Henreitta is and tells her to stuff it. Henreitta does an about face and realizes that Keseley is her One True Love and now has to fix her mess. The rough wake up forces Henreitta to grow up a little (much needed IMO) and becomes a slightly more likeable character.

I only read The Sound and the Fury and it made me feel absolutely stupid. I thought, this is a classic that I totally don't understand why it's so wonderful. It was awfully sad and was a slow read for me. Maybe someday I'll read the other books too.

I liked this book because it inspired "girls overboard". This is something between my sister and I.
