This book left me feeling reflective. A week after reading Sister Mine and I am still thinking about the characters--and there are many--how their experiences have shaped their lives, and how my experiences have shaped mine. It's a bit heavy with "bad things" happening to good people, but the events are being remembered and so aren't as disturbing to read.

Holy biblical epic. What I liked: California roots, primordial themes, good v. evil. What I didn't liked: classic evil-eve themes and lack of depth in female characters - it starts to be a bit of a masculine snooze fest at some points.

I had to agree with the other readers pretty standard fair I actually did not even really want to finish it may pick up her other books but will carefully read the reviews first. I pretty much had this one sorted out and it was only mildly entertaining.
