I read this one back in HS. All I really remember about was that it was really weird. I want to read it again. I think now that I've actually read a few books I may enjoy it more..

This collection of twenty insightful biographies was a thrilling read. Osho's added opinions elevated my understanding of mystical impact whether the teacher be Jesus or George Gurdjieff. Though the author parted the earth in 1990, his insight is bright and shiny.

I really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read the next installment to see what happens next with the characters. It has a great storyline that is original and unique compared to other paranormal/scifi books out there right now. The time line for this book is based in the near future and the depiction of how things are, such as modern conveniences and daily lives in general are really well written, however, I do not care for the fact that there was not much explanation as to how it got that way other than the "fall of the economy". I wish it were better explained as well as how the demons came to be roaming the earth. Other than that, I think it is a great book and would reccomend it to anyone else that enjoys this type of book.

The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie is an old-fashioned English country house mystery, complete with a body in the garden, an amateur sleuth, and a slew of red herrings. Flavia de Luce, however, bears no resemblance to Poirot, Miss Marple, or Lord Peter Wimsey, mostly in that she's eleven. Oh, and a brilliant chemist specializing in poisons. It's a gentle book without gore, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Very easy read ... it's nice to sink into Jennifer Weiner's writing and just relax. Not too heavy ... interesting characters with enough depth to provoke a little thought ... or not, if you are feeling like nothing more than a good read.
