A very odd little book, but I couldn't put it down. I think I read it in three days. I figured out the twist (part of it, anyway), but it was still interesting to see how the other characters figured out the mystery of the strange little boy. If you like quirky books, I would recommend it, especially since it's such a quick read.

I had to read this for one of my tutoring clients and at first was excited–thought it might be like The Little Prince or something. Then as I did my research on the book and author I was kind of horrified to find out he had some affiliation with the KKK in the past and that when the book was published in 1970's it was passed off as an autobiography...Twenty years later they found that to be completely false. When reading the book you can see the author's opinion on American politics and government...and his belief in segregation. I'm also one of those people who can no longer watch Woody Allen or Mel Gibson movies. So I suppose you could say that I can't separate the art from the artist...

Not really sure why I picked this up...somewhat interesting read about a true colonist and his African estate...don't think I'd really recommend it though.

Bé Tập Vẽ - Tập 2 Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

My 20 month old has been a fan of Mr. Brown for at least 6 months. While he isn't yet at the stage of seriously attempting to mimic Mr. Brown's sounds, he does enjoy hearing his parents make them, and he likes the pictures. (He does imitate our knocking on the door or a table, though!) The whole thing has a nice rhythm, so it's easy to read out loud. Definitely a keeper for the youngest set.
