highly disappointed. didn't seem cohesive enough, since overt religious thread is abandoned when the kon-tiki part begins. even though i understand the overall gist of what martel was getting at, he didn't make me want to.

Whew! Much, much better than the first one in the series. The characters remain likable, but they have more depth, and, most importantly of all, no more insane head hopping. The plot is better done as well. Excellent book.

This book speaks so clearly about life, and for someone like me, the truest words always come from a child. It's powerful, it's important. Read it.

** spoiler alert ** Oh my......I love Fang and Aimee. I knew that this was going to be an introduction to the new arc that Kenyon is starting, and I can see so many possibilities. I love the new characters, and I really love that I'm going to be seeing more of the Were-Hunters. I was very sad that Mama and Papa Peltier passed in this book, but glad that Fang and Aimee will be taking over Sanctuary. It will bring the different breeds together and that will help with fighting the new Daimons that ARE WALKING IN THE DAYLIGHT! I'm glad that there is no end in sight for the Dark-Hunter world!!!

the story is so simple and assure to have its experience to explore it. You will have noticed if the names of the each character in this books actually have hidden meaning, like Scout (my favorite) is a seeker, mean scouting out new area experience..so u will have ur own then..

3.5 out of 5 rating This is the sixth book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. I am really starting to like Quinn and want to see him and Sookie get together. I liked the new witch we meet, Amelia, and while I think maybe we have met the Queen of Lousiana, Sophie-Anne Leclerq before, I don't remember her. But I found that I kind of liked her in this book. And there was a great shocker that has to do with Bill! On to the next book in the series, All Together Dead.
My favorite book ever. It's so wonderful.
Ayn Rand's portrait of Communist Russia. Not autobiographical (but apparently alludes to some experiences Rand actually went through in Russia), reading this gives you a great base of understanding for why Rand creates her theory of Objectivism/Egoism. Idealistic characters, some of whom you could never dream of liking, and brutal hardships that they have to live through under the Communist regime. Also great to read, I think, if you're interested in Russian history and a fictional narrative of daily life there at the time of Communism.

Now THIS book by Lewis I actually remember reading (while my friend Rene was taking flying lessons at the Santo Domingo airport) in 10th grade (age 15). It was wonderful for me then, when I was questioning so much about the religious world of protestant/evangelical Christianity I was completely immersed in to that point in my life.
