This sequel to the original Manny Files is equally laugh-out-loud funny. Unfortunately I was reading it in public as I grabbed a lunch alone and I found myself stifling repeated giggles! Yes, it's a little heavy handed at times but it's also thoroughly lovable. I confess, I teared up a couple of times. Both of these books are terrific for talking about bullying and labeling, but also for the child like Keats who has gay family members or friends. Keats writes the last line of the story - most people are really nice when you finally see them.

very riveting! great, rich characters and a story strongly reminiscent of Homer's Odyssey. What I loved most about this book was the adventure -- what it feels like to have the responsibilities of a tribe that has left its homeland and the bonds it creates. This book was one of the few since my childhood which really drew me in... there were battlescenes which I literally couldn't function well after reading; the pace and descriptive narrative were so rich. Highly recommended!

Being A vampire Samsons has needs and like any other male all he thinks about his sex, but what makes it worse, his machinery is outta action. Samson finds himself ready to spontaneously combust from sheer need, 9 months without sex he is cranky and irritable and finds himself off to see a shrink to try and shed some light on his situation. Has Iona not only ripped his heart out but scared him for life? Delilah is an Auditor - Forensic accountant an independent contractor from New York sent to check out discrepancies’ in a private company... Delilah has been flat out working three days straight to find out who is stealing from this company. On her way home one night she is attached by a stranger, and finds herself wet - soaked and running scared here she finds a house and bangs downs its doors, where she falls into Samsons arms. Samons thinks that Delilah is the stripper that his mates sent him for his birthday, he thinks Delilah is acting; he finds an instant attraction- his machinery is up and raring to go. Excited at this prospect then finds that this lady is escaping from a thug who did attack her and is not his birthday promise. Delilah also finds herself strangely attracted to this hotty, he has ignited sparks that she had long experienced in over 12 months. Samson being the gentleman that he is apologizes profusely and supplies Delilah with fresh clothes a ride home - but he can’t stop thinking about her. In time Samson falls for his Lovely mortal thinking that after his one night stand all his problems would go away he is experiencing more than he ever bargained for. Incredible lust and he just can’t get enough of her. In a turn of events he finds that his new found affections for Delilah are stronger that he has ever experienced. Does she feel the same? Should he care for a mortal this way? Delilah is again attacked and Samson is not taking any risks he supplies Delilah with a bodyguard until her job is done. Secrets are revealed, likes are told will love find its way? I found Samson to quiet a romantic at heart, pursues what he wants and usually gets it, he is aggorant but also vulnerable to the fact that he is impotent and can’t handle this. His charm is sweet; I enjoyed his character, the gentleman type but also very straight forward in the bedroom, Delilah being very submissive to him. Which is not her normal character normally she is the take charge kind of girl but with Samson she finds in a world wind of hot sex and lust and will take everything she can get to fulfill her needs. Samson finds he can’t keep his hands of her... his new found sex drive is in overdrive!!! Their love is lustful, romantic, sexy, demanding yet sensual. The sex scenes not over the top, that little bit of heat that keeps you warm. Adult content and descriptions but well described not corny or over the top. Their kisses are full of passion and power ((love )) and really help to electrify the connection between the two of them. Sparks flying everywhere !!!! The plot ran smoothly and fluently not pit stops or boring moments I was intrigued from beginning to end. The secondary Characters were introduced and I enjoyed all characters in the books, hoping that they will flow into her other novels. ((Which I will be reading in the near future)). Overall a romance with that edge of suspense, your fill of love, hot sex, betrayal, lies and greed all in one novel. I really enjoyed this read and will be reading more of Tina Folsmoms books.
