While the character Jack Reacher is as black and white as they come, the story is interesting, and the result is pure entertainment. This book is for those who like their mysteries drawn in sharp clear lines of good and bad.

Loved it! It kept me guessing and wanted to know who did it. The main characters are well written and I was interested in and cared about what will or may happen to them.

I read The Help when it was first published...i read a real hard copy of the book and truly fell in love with the stories. The story, set in the early 1960's Jackson MS, is visceral, stirring, touching and tear-jerking. Stockett has a gift. She fleshes the characters fully, viscerally...i can SEE Minnie, hear Abilene and I want to strangle Hilly. It was difficult to put the book down and my one single disappointment with the book was that I had completed reading it. Now that the movie is out, I have to say that I love that as well. I feel the screen writer was true to the story that Stockett set out to tell and each character was cast perfectly (in my uneducated opinion!). If you haven't read The Help do yourself a favor and get a copy. The strife, conflict, love and simple grace of the life of the help and the strength of the women is remarkable.

Loved it! Read it in 3 hours. I cannot wait for the last one. I love that it is a quick read with plenty of action. I love how each book brings you closer and closer to the truth.
No great messages to be learned from what I read. It was hard to relate to the main character. The writing style was beautiful in some sections, but the lack of relating and feeling for the main character is a drawback that is hard to pass by.
