I loved Anne Carson's introduction. She writes something along the lines of, "Why do we need tragedy? Because you are full of rage." I've never really read the classics, and I feel intimidated by them. Carson approaches them in what seems to be a very unconventional, edgy way that makes me feel welcome. She was in my face enough to free up my reactions, which I was holding back, thinking my opinions were too unsubstantiated to exist. So I loved the introduction, and I think I read one or two of the plays during a classics kick that I can entirely attribute to Carson.

much better than book 5. pleasantly pleased. but sad with the ending, as im sure any HP reader would have been. still, i dont think rowling's writing style is that great or anything special. but for what she writes she has a fantastic imagination and is very creative. i would be interested in reading anything she may write in the future when HP has been laid to rest. the harry potter books are a continuing craze over many nations. i still think they are greatly overrated and not worth the fuss that everyone is making over them. however they are fun, imaginative and anyone who enjoys going into another world including their own imagination will enjoy these books. having just re-read all the currently published harry potter books, i am awaiting to see what the concluding novel has in store for us! plus hermione and ron have to get together!!! and harry and ginny get back together!!!

This books takes about 125 pages to get into, but once you are into it is is worth it. I'm not usually a huge Steinbeck fan, but this was a good read. However, if you're looking for a fast, easy read or a good beach book, do not pick this one.
