Interesting read about the Nazi leaders dabbling with the occult.
Even better than American Psycho. Amazing streamlined style and plot that nevertheless keep you going...

Jesus calls us to forgive what most would deem "unforgivable". It's ugly, painful, and messy... but there is an indescribable peace to it all. I read this while on the treadmill, and I don't know how many times I wasn't just wiping away sweat but also tears. Though a little repetitive, I was moved by what Brian Zahnd had to say. I would recommend this to anyone.

What can I say? Everyone has heard of this book. Mark Twain is one of the most quotable human beings ever, and his book was just fantastic.

It made me cry. It's not great art but a very intense look into the thoughts of someone who is struggling to hold onto her mind and trying to keep her spirits up. Here's an author bio as swiped from Amazon.com: Born in 1894, the daughter of theologian Arthur Cushman McGiffert, the author was educated at Barnard College and married geographer John Kirtland Wright. She edited a number of books and raised three children in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, and later moved with her husband to Lyme, New Hampshire. In her later years she lived in a retirement home in Cincinnati, Ohio, near her son, English professor and author, Austin McGiffert Wright. She died in 1986. In full disclosure: she was my grandmother!

Just when you think their are not enough Vampires in Anne Rice's life she brings you even more to feel for to desire, and yet to feel even more for their deaths.

Upon my second reading of this book (for prosperity, of course), I realized all that I didn't pick up on the first time around. I don't think I was emotionally or mentally mature enough to understand what this book was about, which, in retrospect, is pretty embarrassing. That being said, oh my. This has become one of my favorite books. Marlow's character is so well developed, the humor is so effective, dry, subtle, everything about this book is masterful. The ultimate example of having control over your words: not a comma, not one syllable in this novella goes wasted. My copy is all marked up, I must buy another. For prosperity.
