I laughed out loud at least once every ten pages. This is one of the best things I've read. He is so honest and isn't ashamed of saying the things he's thinking, even though a lot of people would disagree with him. I disagreed with him a lot as well. But it was still hilarious. And he has some really great points.

Very very weird. And yes it is actually a love story about a troll- not the type of troll you might think. It is set in modern times. If you are into sci fi and stretching that fantasy boundary- go for it.
The 'first hypertext' hype is just that, as Cortazar really forces a card on the reader with his 'suggested' ordering of the ostensibly permutable chapters. But there are startlingly imaginative facets set within the whole (the chapter on the Paris pet market comes to mind, with its raptured evocation of aquatic critters). Come to think of it, in some ways the book resembles a vast coral reef, teeming with wonder and beauty in certain corners, drab and rough-going elsewhere. All in all, worth snorkeling over for a closer look.
