I loved all of the Peter Wimsey mysteries by Dorothy Sayers. This "completed" posthumous final one is not worth the time. Don't recomment it.
Interesting.

The earlier books about Father Tim and the town characters are my favorites in this series but the books are always spiritually uplifting.

I thought it was absolutely fascinating. West is a very talented writer - though one wonders how many alters helped out in the writing - and makes for a very easily readable book. I've read a fair amount of books on DID/MPD, but this is the first told in such a bold way, from the "front lines", so to speak. It really helps to give a feel of what living with DID must be like, the confusion, the feelings of helplessness, the denial, the strangeness of it all. I've never read someone who is so connected before, all the others I've read about lose awareness when an alter is in control so I found it very interesting that West stays "co-conscious". An incredible read. West and his wife are both amazingly strong people with an obvious deep bond to be able to work through such a difficult thing together

Wow... am really surprised that I didn't really like that at all! Very unusual, but I actually thought the movie was MUCH better. I was really disappointed by the book... perhaps my expectations were too high after I balled my eyes out watching the movie. I just found that I didn't get that emotional connection with the characters, like I did in the movie. The movie was was so well done and the book was quite different. Usually the movie misses things that were in the book, but I found that the other way around. Never mind!
Disturbed and disturbing. I have a headache after reading it. Of course it well written, wouldn't have the impact if it wasn't. However, I did get lost on who was where doing what on the Sat, Sun, Mon and Tues; and it was significant to who done it. It's a creepy book.

I actually read this much earlier but I'm re-reading my Agatha Christie novels right now so it's come up again. Mr. Harley Quin and Mr. Satterthwaite aren't as well known as Poirot and Miss Marple, but it's a series of short stories that are a little more mystical but at the same time more grounded than the other, longer novels. There's something sweet and sad about the origin of the mysterious Mr. Quin...
The book that orginally drove me into my current state of baseball madness. I'm not sure if this is the greatest baseball book ever written, but if I was trapped on an island and could only bring one belonging... this is it.
