At times the book seemed like it was dragging but he always managed to pick things up at the right moment. I gave it 4 stars because the book got me thinking about some things in my life. But for most I might only give it 3 stars. It's a good read.

What can I say? It was a typical Anne Stuart book. Of course I LOOOOOVE Anne Stuart. This book was cute, and I kind of saw where she got her idea for her House of Rohan books. The story was good, the ending was "eh" and epilogue was cute.

Definitely get this one from the library or borrow it. It takes about 15-20 minutes to read the entire book, and although it has an interesting title, I didn't get much out of it except a very drawn-out analysis of the difference between lying and bullshitting. May be helpful if you aspire to be a lawyer one day.

Can’t Anna Pigeon get a break? The answer is an apparent no as Nevada Barr really puts the Park Ranger through another series of harrowing events. Anna, on administrative leave, decides to accompany her husband on a white water rafting trip. The river is on the BORDERLINE of Texas and Mexico. Through a series of misfortunes, Anna soon finds herself dodging bullets. It’s not necessary to have read other book in the series, but fans will Anna Pigeon’s progression. She’s becomes darker, cynical and paranoid. Readers are also treated to Anna Pigeon’s maternal side. Barr again lets the story feed off of the park setting. The plot was slightly predictable, but this novel delivers thrill a page action and brims with tension. If you haven’t read the series, this is an excellent place to start.
The whole time I read this novel, I had this incredibly powerful sense of Dejavu, like I read this book before. Maybe I did and forgot when lol. The story was so familiar to me and I felt like I knew all the charecters perfectly. Lovely book, I love the language the writer used you can totally feel the britishness (if that's a word lol) Same writer as Coraline (another novel I wanna read) so yeah it was a good read =P Nothing incredible or powerful, but a lovely and sweet story.

Disguised: A wartime Memoir Rita De Clercq Zubli This book is about the story of Rita, turned to Rick, and the hardships she faces throughout WWII. To save her from becoming a "loose women," under the command of the Japanese, Rita's family make a dramatic decision: Make Rita "Rick," a smart young 12 year old boy. The instinct for survival is strong in this story, as Rita impresses his superior captains with her quick learning ability, and a willingness to test everything. The hardships of war are still upon her though, her family is separated as her surrounding community are forced into camp, after camp, after camp as POW's. Rita lives through it all, letting few people know who she really is, and recounts it minute to minute, hour after agonizing hour, day through devastating day in her autobiography. I really did like this book, I couldn't put it down, and I wanted to keep reading. There were a few parts that were slightly dull, but other then that, I found it really enjoyable. I did notice something throughout the book. Some good things would happen, for what seemed for months for Rita, and then something absolutely terrible would happen to her, and the rest of the POW's. It was only understandable that things are constantly changing during war. I can't ask her to change her story, as it is a non-fiction, actual account of what happened. But even the author managed to keep it interesting, which is why I'd highly recommend this book, even if you aren't someone who loves reading about history, which is the kind of person I am Pages: 366
Pretty good, quick read. Am slightly weary of Jodi Picoult's formula, which seems to be about the same for each book. This one was good, not great.
