I enjoyed this book, and it helped me to hear other womens stories and pick up info and help myself "heal". I read other reviews who this author has a child and so I didn't read her introduction or the "Personal Note" because I didn't want to hear about it lol... Overall a good book, and like I said helped me decide some things.

this book is so useful for anyone that's looking for an explanation of the relationship between identity and language, according to Derrida. it's very readable (well, compared to other works of his), and a bit personal. and, its short, which is awesome. i was not looking forward to slogging through 500 pages of early derrida. luckily, now i don't have to.

This book kind of bummed me out. The picture of the future is "Blade Runner" bleak (I prefer the "Demolition Man" veiw of the future, BTW). Great writing, but I just wish someone could have a little hope and write a story about a future where we don't self-destruct or become mindless zombies.
