Good book not one of her best I would say. This book was slow start and hard to get into but when you did hit the exciting parts it was go go go. It was a good finish!

Hildegard fue una monja benedictina que vivió en el Imperio Romano Germánico en la Edad Media, y a lo largo de su vida tuvo muchas visiones que recibió como alegorías religiosas. Cuando llegó a hacer públicas sus experiencias, fueron recibidas muy bien por sus contemporáneos, y ella pasó a ser uno de los eclesiásticos más célebres de Europa. Hasta el papa se interesó en las visiones y las pronunció auténticas. Este libro contiene la biografía que otro eclesiástico escribió algo después de la muerte de Hildegard, extractos de su correspondencia, dibujos coloridos reproducidos de algunos manuscritos de los libros de Hildegard junto con pasajes del texto, y unas canciones religiosas que Hildegard también escribía. Yo siempre tuve un imagen del cristianismo medieval como una religión que manejaba todo por instituciones y jerarquías, pero este libro me sorprendió mostrando que también se manifestaba en experiencias personales.

John Gerkin was going to wear a pink gorilla costume to the midnight opening of the new version of king kong. It didn't happen but he told me about the part in wise blood where the gorilla outside the movie theater cusses. It's a great book!

An "eye-opening" book from a doctor who has seen death and unabashedly relates the details of "how we die." The technical details can be long but it's well explained. The anecdotes however are amazing. I'm sure i'll comment more once i'm done reading this book.
