James patterson's schools out forever is just as intersting and well written as her first. The plot is clear with very few bumps and still makes you think about the story. The transition of charactors is very interest ing because it gives you a view from both end of the story and even some side views too. The story itself was pretty good for a contiueation of another book and I think it could stand on its own. Over all I think this is a pretty good and well written book.
What made me decide to buy this book 6-7 years ago was a review I read where they said Ms. Hoffman is "the next Patricia Cornwell". Only if they're comparing her to Ms. Cornwell's truly awful book Isle of Dogs. This book was tremendously bad.

Granted you know DS books always have a happy ending and this is no different - - I really enjoy 'fluff' reading.....this was about the prodigal sister falling in love with the magna superstar and the trials and tribulations that go along with it....but still it was very good.

I read this one in 7th or 8th grade and loved it. She now has 2 sequels to it. It's about a girl named Shabanu growing up in Pakistan. One of my favorite books.
Lars is a two hundreds years old vampire who has lost his love, Lila, the same night he was turned. He has waited two century to find again his Lila, reincarnated in another body, but with the same soul. What he doesn't aspect is that Lila is now a man, Jack. Jack has the same colour of Lila, and shares her memories. Till his childhood he has dreamed of Lars, his dream lover, and now that he has found him, he not loss him. But Lars is not sure to could possibly love a man, and if he manages so, he wants to be sure to love him, and not the ghost of Lila. Despite the different strenght between Lars and Jack, they are a matched couple. I can't find one of the two that overwhelms the other: it's a game of exchange Jack of Hearts & Jack of Diamonds are two brief novel, but I recommend to read them as a whole, cause they are strictly related. http://elisa-rolle.livejournal.com/85...
I picked this book up ONLY because it was a book club book for this month. I have never liked Orson Scott Card before and I was very skeptical. After the first chapter I was ready to put it down and be done. I am so glad I didn't. By chapter 2 I was hooked and I really like this book! I was impressed at his ability to write in a woman's voice so convincingly. I loved the way he fleshed out this story more and painted Sarah as a real person who I came to really love. I felt like my understanding of the story was deepened as well as my faith honestly. I really liked it and I am very ready to pick up the other Women of Genesis books!
I read this so many times in high school.
