Some stories are hilarious! Several emails I've received from students abroad could easily be added to a 2nd edition.

I loved this account of Motley Crue's misadventures. It was outrageous and unbelievable but still somehow emotional and at times touching. Their capers are now legend, but hearing about their craziness almost makes me wish I was there to party with them. Almost. But I kind of value my sanity.

I absolutely love Tim Dorsey's books, I've read them all (which makes me sad!). I'd compare him to Carl Hiaasen, except Time Dorsey is less preachy and more focused on one character, Serge A. Storms, one of the most imaginative characters I've read about. I highly recommend this series to anyone who appreciates lighthearted books with a historical element.

Probably one of my least favorite in the series. I don't exactly know why. Some people say that this is their favorite. To each their own...

This book basically summarized four years of my development studies education. I like how Sachs is able to fit it all into a relatively short, easy read, and hope that the book will help to mainstream some ideas about development economics that are usually relegated to the World Bank and development academics. The book is inspiring and pragmatic at the same time, though I wonder about the world ever being efficient enough to achieve the goals set in the book. "Foreign assistance is not a welfare handout, but is actually an investment that breaks the poverty trap once and for all."
This book alternated between Kinsey's perspective (her investigation) and scenes from the past involving the various people involved in the life of the woman Kinsey was looking for. I don't recall previous Grafton novels doing this, but I thought it made this book much better than earlier (simpler) ones.

i love the way this book is set up
This was a very interesting book, especially because I lived in the Bay Area during the time period in which the novel is set. I love how Owens attacks Native American stereotypes by diving into them and creates a book that makes the reader question culture, academia, and involves a murder mystery all at the same time.
