I knew nothing about the German occupation of the Channel Islands in WW II; this books made me want to know more about Guernsey and the islands.

I loved the writing; it was laugh out loud funny at points. Very fun, light, quick read. Parts are a tad formulaic and predictable, but there's a nice twist I wasn't expecting. It was like a mix of Tom Robbins and Mil Millington. And who doesn't love the Morrigan?
