Beware, Earthlings. Fluffy bunnies with hypnotic eyes from the marshmallow planet (which circles a Starburst sun) are on the attack. They've landed near Camp Whatsitooya and are looking for enough sustenance--candy and marshmallows--to be strong enough to take over Earth. Mmmm, yum. Nothing like sugar-fed earthlings to satisfy the appetite. I'm not sure why I like this book as much as I do but some reasons might be-- the combination of narrative with graphic novel style the sheer silliness of the story the fact that the protagonists, twins Joules and Kevin with their friend Nelson, figure out how to outsmart the fluffy bunnies I was in the mood to have fun with a silly story Probably about 4th grade or so and up.

One of my very favorite books as a kid. I would love to read it again.

I have nothing in common with an athletic Irish Catholic bachelor fireman from NY who loves Manhattan and running. I don't even like the idea of running. Still, it was a very good fast read. Amazing what he went through.

A really fascinating book, I read this for college. It is technically a history book, but don't worry it's not anywhere near as boring as most history books. I love learning about little historical tidbits like how the nobility back in the 1400s used to put pounds and pounds of spices on their food during dinner parties as a way of impressing their guests.
Everything you ever wanted to know about Mars and martian rock. Okay a lot more than you wanted to know, but still a strong epic story of settlers trying to really make a new world.

It's a great read, fast paced, exhilerating, a real page - turner. However, I don't think folks should take it so literally or as true. It's a work of FICTION, and it can lay no more claim to religious truth than any other novel. Moreover, it's a dime - store style book - it should have a disclaimer: For entertainment purposes only.

Pretty good for Christian Chick-Lit. It kept me interested and laughing. Sometimes Ashley's conflicts with Brea got a little grating and her growth seemed slow...but overall her character was very easy to empathize with.

First this book was kind of slow. Then it was kind of fast and little too sexy. Then it was depressing, but true. And finally there was a happy ending. Except there wasn't a build up to the happy ending, so it felt all forced and awkward. I guess what I've learned is that I'm super happy not to be a female noble in the 16th century, because I think I'd have to choke a bitch. But I already knew that.
Not gonna lie... i'm kind of addicted to this comic book series, in which all human and animal males die, and the world is taken over by women. Only one man and his monkey survive. The movie "Children of Men" handles this topic much better, and with more finesse, since this series quickly dissolves into a male fantasy - but it's not bad.

A fascinating time in history...Civil war, Lincoln's getting shot and the turmoil afterwards. This was a long, somewhat dull book to read, but I had to find out what happened in the end to Henry and Clara. It was a struggle to pick up sometimes, but worth it in the end as it gave such a good snapshot of that era.
