I got the gist of it about 1/3 of the way through. While I like his ideas about how to build one's "google-ness," I think the idea of abandoning all advertising is pre-mature.

This book was strangely not as interesting as it should have been.

Jack is one of my least favorite characters in this series, but I liked this storyline enough to keep reading. Some of the other characters were rather enigmatic and I glossed over them, but Alice in Wonderland was an absolute delight!

Ayan Rand is a philosopher. Reading her (or really any philosophers') books on philosophy is tedious at best, but the Fountainhead illustrates her point in a poigniant way with a great story. In reading it you understand why it is so important in life to follow your own inner spirit and be true to yourself, no matter the cost.

Excellent impetus for personal reflection and brainstorming. You have to be self-aware. you have to be aware of others. You have to keep things in perspective. You have to be mature enough to communicate and to hear, to see and to be seen, to give and to receive, to respect and expect respect, to ask for support and to support without being asked, to lead and be led, to love and be loved, to change and be changed. Partnership is a learning process with few road signs."

How to humiliate a rapist. To take back the streets for women. To love me because I am a woman. She challenges the status quo, so if you have something to complain about then you should read this book.

The perfect book at the perfect time. Like Buddy Glass, I was a lost 22 year-old, awkward in social situations and prone to drinking too much to compensate for it, when I first read this book. I read it every year, and it always brings me back to that first read, with the painful memories associated with it softened by time.
There is no way to argue with this book's timelessness and satire of society. Huck and Jim are the duo that defined the rights and wrongs in the age, while Twain makes his case against slavery.
