Holy Wow. I can stop my review there. But, I suppose I'll go on! *lol* I thought I loved Hex Hall, but it was nothing compared to Demonglass! The only thing I can think to complain about is the cliffhanger where there were so many questions left unanswered! Like Hex Hall, this book has some plot twists, that I did catch onto slightly sooner than I had with Hex Hall, but none the less they were excellently executed. The same characters I loved from the previous book, I loved now! The character development was fabulous, and I found myself more and more attached to the characters of this book. Now, let me amend what I said earlier. I do have one "issue" with this book. Sophie's relationship with her estranged father seems too easy. I think if I had to pick something to nit-pick, that would be it! I hate how little tension there is, because angsty teens (like I'm sure Sophie is to some extent) are never that welcoming and warm to the father who has been absent their entire life... To sum it all up? Demonglass was a fabulous book, I picked it up this morning and spent much of my day with my nose stuck in the book! It was such an excellent read, and I can't wait until the third installment of this series comes out!

Again this was one of the best books I've ever read! I thoroughly enjoyed it again, maybe even more this time, after recently seeing the movie, which was done pretty well, I think. But the book is way better, of course!

For the most part this was... uh... lame. Lame is the best way to describe it. The moral's a good one: it's not about looks, girls. But Levine tries way too hard to create the space of the novel, a fairytale land where everyone's always signing and songs have the power to heal and... blah blah blah. It just wasn't working. Enough with the signing!
