I know it might be odd to list being a hypochondriac as a hobby but I think it is appropriate. I love this little handbook. I think someday I might make a pretty good biologist.

I really enjoyed the writing and the concept behind the story, I just wish it was a little less political. Maybe, deep down I had a different idea in my head of what is was going to be and was hoping for something else after hearing how great it was. It could have been better but there was a lot to love. I have to say overall, I liked it and will try others by him.
This one was very difficult to read, but not for lack of artfull vivid telling. (I wanted to give it a 5 star rating because the entire series really deserves it.) In a return to the original books military detail... but with a dark cloud hanging over the joys I wanted so much for them to finally get. There is more this story and I am eager for the next book to be published.

The amazing life of Arlene Blum who's done so much as a pioneer for women climbers. An inspirational read of how she rose out of life of self-doubt and overprotective parents in Chicago, moved to Portland, OR, and discovered the mountains, and went on to become an adventurous climber, leading scientist, and mother.

I actually wrote this book and, amazingly, I still like it. Other readers tell me it's worth their while. I wouldn't suggest it if I didn't believe in it.

Sebagian saya sudah tahu. Sebagian lagi saya baru tahu. Dari yang sudah pernah saya coba, sebagian saya suka banget. Sebagian lagi biasa2 aja. Tapi kalau mati gaya di malam minggu, nggak tau mau jalan ke mana sama suami, buku ini layak jadi referensi. Asal kuat nanggung macetnya aja :P

I picked up this book as part of my goal to get more acquainted with my section of responsibility at the library. That is, Mystery, Adventure, and Suspense. This book got a starred review in some publication (either Publisher's Weekly or Library Journal), so I picked it up. And I liked it, really. In terms of plot and characters it was interesting, the pace was good, and the twists were super twisty. The only stumbling block was the stilted language, which could either come from the differences in communications across culture (the author is Japanese) or from the translation into English itself. Some things just don't translate, ya know? But I also think this is something I could get used to if I read more in the genre. I mean, I wasn't born loving Agatha Christie's talk of tea times and house maids, but I got used to it. What I'm saying is that this is an excellent mystery that provides lots of food for thought.
nice book
