The story line plays out in an implausible manner but the writing style is good and it's a fast-paced, easy read. Would recommend it to anyone interested in the genre of the book or anyone that enjoys thrillers.

Empieza muy bien, lo estropea un poco en la segunda parte del libro. Las ilustraciones están bien, estilo español.
Cute and light book about 3 Asian American women going through life and dealing with their families expectations.
I had not heard about this book. I lady I work with let me borrow it. I was surprised by how good it was. It is quick good read.
a little too graphic in parts. crazy event towards the end that was unnecessary. like the Chicago setting.

Wow - The prose is elegant and accessible. The humor is dry yet goofy, and the story is surprisingly enthralling. While it's not quite as deep as "Kavalier and Clay", I think I enjoyed it more.

I really wanted to love this book. My husband and two book club friends raved about it, but I honestly felt like it was mostly a waste of time. It took 387 pages to get even remotely interesting. I almost gave up on it three times! The history was interesting, but I felt like the author got way too into detail about too many inconsequential things. I liked Matthew's character, but Diana just annoyed me. The book started to pick up and I began to get into the story just in time for the author to go way off the deep end and try to pack in every bit of supernatural she could think of into one character and situation! It just got to be absurd! I will likely read the next book of the trilogy, but only if it's half the size. Like I said, I really wanted to love this book, but I just didn't.

I loved it! It took the first half of the book to get introduced to all of the characters, but after that it took off. Of course, the book ends leaving you waiting impatiently for the next one... Brandon Sanderson is either a really awesome researcher or he was a war hero in another life! His war detail reminds me of Robert Jordan. I recommend this book!

Wow. WOW. I can't even fully express how impressed I was with Maggie Stiefvater's writing in this book. I mean, the Shiver series has been my favorite, so obviously I love Maggie and her books, but WOW! The Scorpio Races is my my new favorite book. It has a perfect amount of adventure, mystery, and romance. I love love love this book. The writing is so poetic and beautiful. The characters Sean and Kate/Puck are intensely dynamic, and three dimensional. Even Corr seemed like a person to me. They all seemed so real. I loved how even though there was some paranormal myths incorporated into the story, it never seemed fake or silly. Everything in this story seemed so real and believable. I loved it so much. After finishing the novel, I closed the book, held it to my chest, and sighed deeply with a large grin on my face, tears still streaming down my cheeks. WOW! Sorry, but that's all I seem to be able to say. WOW. Maggie - You are literally amazing.
