Click here for more Jeaniene Frost Reviews Summary: Cat shouldn’t exist; she is a rare half breed. Half Vampire and Half Human, and all freak of nature. Her entire life she knew there was something different about herself, stronger, faster, glowing eyes, pale skin, but she didn’t know why until she was 16. That is when her mother told her she was raped by a vampire and 5 months later Cat was born. Since Cat found out she was half vampire she has been slaying any vampire she could get her hands on. She has always come out the victor, until Bones. Bones knows Cat is killing vampires but what he wants to know is who she is working for. He allows Cat to lure him out of the club and gets one up on her. When he finds out her secret that she is half vampire he realizes he can use her to his advantage, as he is tracking a vampire that is stealing young girls and selling them and he need bait that can handle themselves in a fight and he can’t use a vampire. As Bones and cat get closer to the culprit things get more and more intense and its likely they won’t be walking away from this job. Review: So yes, I succumbed to peer pressure and jumped on the Night Huntress band wagon and man am I glad I did! People were not exaggerating about how good it is. I know I’m only on the first book but it takes off running! It is go go go from the beginning and doesn’t let up. The characters are intense and dark and you will fall in love instantly. Bones will have you sigh with pleasure within minutes, a little scary and a whole lot of man with a delicious accent to boot. This series is technically not a romance and under the Urban Fantasy category but worry not my romantic friends there is a little something something, to keep you going. =) Pick up this series you will not be disappointed you will fly right through this book and onto the next. That’s where I’m heading now, back to the books!

my absolutely favorite!
Tomeo es surrealista y absurdo en este libro, que refleja la soledad de los dos hombres que se encuentran en una pensión de un pueblo de veraneo. No sé porqué, pero me hace reír mucho, tiene un estilo sorprendente y original...

This book is my cup of tea. It has vivid description of all the major events during the Cold War and provides a fairly balanced perspective. Not only does it deal with the political events of the war spanned over four decades, but also it encompasses the economic scenarios of the period. Along with unveiling why America had to make an about-face on its policy to disarm west Germany and Japan, this book explains how the Vietnam war fueled Japan's economic boom. Even though there were times when the details bogged me down, at other times the unfolding of byzantine political plots had me enthralled. The chapter on the Cuban missile crisis, which I knew exactly how it ended (without a nuclear war), still managed to have my breath held until the very end. All in all, this is a great book for anyone with an interest in contemporary history or the Cold War.
Beryl Markham's memoir is a beautiful look into the life of ex-pats in Africa, and into the lifestyle of the pilots, filling the reader's mind with images of plains, stars, and romantic skies.

Pretty good novel. From back cover: "Here, evil comes to sleepy Listre, N.C., circa 1950, in the form of a stranger with a pencil-thin mustache and a trunkful of dirty movies. Listre is the kind of rustic crossroads where the most exciting event in years was a collision between a mule and a pickup truck, where boys slip over to the Gulf station for a Nehi and a peek at the pinup calendar, and where everybody knows everybody else's secrets. It's the kind of place, in other words, where it seems like nothing ever changes - until the fateful day when everything changes at once."

My favorite part is when the moose and the porcupine eat Harold's pie. My second favorite part is when Harold draws a big, purple city with big, purple buildings and lots of windows. My third favorite part is when Harold meets the terribly frightening dragon under the apple tree. In conclusion, this is the best book ever written.

I was impressed with this novel. The characters are complex and the issues raised are ones with which we all grapple--how to meld domestic life with idealism and our own, often diluted, sense of self. The main character, Frank, is the special driving force behind this still very contemporary story and the outcome does not bode well for the rest of us who want a satisfactory outcome to the same quotidian problems.
