This was a cute book. There were lots of things going on and it overlapped and continued the first book. I would have given 5 stars, but it repeated to much of the last book instead of just giving another point of view. I skipped what I had already read in the last book, so it was a very quick read.
anthology of essays upon sexuality in grahpic design. range from informative, academic, critical, to locker room talk. a decent mix of styles and always interesting. but what's w/ the skateboard culture? who cares if some asshole middleclass wannabe poverty stricken 14 year old douche bag thinks girls can't skate?

It's a book about getting what you want out of the stories that you hear, but I wish the author had put a little more thought into the story he wanted to tell. With a delicious premise - a young man caught adrift on the open seas with a small group of animals - the novel keeps you turning the pages, but a truly unfortunate midsection seriously detracts from the point that the novel is trying to make.

This really should have been a novel, way to much world for a short story!

Found this book on a neighbor’s stoop. Later that day I met a 17 year old Russian speaking parrot, all white with pale blue around his black eye. He was in a cage on the sidewalk outside a vacuum cleaner store. I then went into the fruit store next door. When I came out I looked back at him, he was watching me with his head tilted. My landlords have a 50 year old parrot held captive in the windowless basement, alone, in a padlocked cage. His name is Shakespeare. I often hear him screaming. Well, the book. This book was written by Timothy—a tortoise who was unwillingly relocated (abducted) from the Mediterranean to England—and it’s sad, funny, insightful and true.

This book is still kind of confusing me. There are a lot of interesting characters and some really good stories about these characters in 2666, but there is really no overarching tale. The anecdotes are tied together quite loosely, but well enough that it seems like they all need to be there, and like most good books (in my opinion) there is no conclusion or closure to the questions and mysteries that arise. Overall, I really enjoyed it, and I'll probably read it again, but not for a while as it is quite a long book.

I guess I should have learned when I read the first one & didn't really like it that I probably wouldn't like the 2nd one that much either. But I was really hoping that the author would fill in the blanks of what happened after Mia woke up from the coma. How she coped with her parents & younger brother teddy's death. I was really dissapointed that it wasen't really a factor. It basically jumps 3 years into the future. I wasn't really interested in all that. I was curious as to HOW Mia got there. Very dissapointed in both books.

So, this was tough. At least I was able to get through it, but I pretty much only read on weekends, and not even every weekend. The Spanish was a little tough, but not the hardest. I'd recommend it as a challenge to anyone wanting to practice their Spanish, especially if you're interested in historical fiction.

*WAT KAN I SAY I AM IN LOVE WIT NOIRE*
二读...。 2013年,这次我实际上更喜欢这本书。 我仍然为Vivi如此直率的挣扎而苦苦挣扎,热恋中却又换了3次男生,尽管我很高兴她最终成为了Johnny。 好玩的书!
