It was very wonderful journey. I liked the authors style of writing which reminds me of my own. I liked the twist in the story and the characters, needless to say Hassan the best. Above everything I liked the loyalty and atonement portrayed in a classic journey through time and events.

Wow! What can I say. This book made me cry, which doesn't happen very often. There are no good guys or bad guys here. Every character presented is both deeply flawed and powerfully redeemed. This lady can spin a yarn.

I'm told by people who love detective fiction that "Night Train" is a terrible piece of detective fiction. Apparently, it follows none of the rules of hard boiled crime writing, and does so self-consciously. It seems Amis has crafted a book that is clever rather than wry, moody rather than atmospheric, and confounding rather than mysterious. That these are precisely the reasons I like the novel is of little consequence to these crime novel fans, evidently.

if you are a freshman in high school maybe you would like this book. I found it sappy and sugary, tepid and trite, with a plot line about an inch long, a ridiculous herione, and of no redeeming value whatsoever. am I being too subtle?

I remember, I just didn't make it all the way through. I did expect it to be a little more mind-blowing, but it could be that I'm not completely comprehending it. It did give me an interesting new framework for thinking about sexuality, or at least completely tore apart my old one.

This is a really fun comic about Sardine, Little Louie, and their Uncle, Captain Yellow Shoulder and their adventures in space. Captain Muscleman is their adversary, always trying to trick them into being captured so he can turn them into well behaved children. The art is great, and the comic is lots of fun. I gave a copy to my six year old nephew and he absolutely loved it. It's a great book to use to introduce kids to the world of comics.

I didn't know what to expect from this story and the first chapter almost put me off of it. Don't get me wrong, it was well written, but just not the sort of story I like to read. Nonetheless, I continued reading and I'm glad I did. In hindsight, the first chapter sets up the rest of the story perfectly, but at the time, I couldn't know that. I found some of the events a little hard to accept and the relationships a little far-fetched, but the overall theme comes through very clearly and the ending was flawlessly executed. Definitely a good read.
