I could not stop laughing at Shannon's thoughts.(And it's very hard for me to laugh out loud while reading a book, seriously, ask my husband) Seriously hilarious! I love the edge of the beyond or other dimension Cast describes. Absolutely wonderful. I agree with Shannon about highschool students, they can be P.I.T.A.'s (Pain In The Ass) but you have to love how they can challenge you everyday and give you a comedic relief when needed.

Reading this book was sort of like being high, but minus the snacks.

Wow! Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. Again things move very fast for Ally and her friends. Another engaging and fast paced read!! I have become a huge fan of Ally. Susan Wright has a winner here in this story. I hope she continues to flesh out the demon world through Ally.
This was my "I don't want to read any school books" summer read. I love JD Robb.

THIS BOOK WAS A LAUGH RIOT. LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY FROM BEGINNING TO END. I BUSTED A GUT LAUGHING. No it wasn't. But there was some good info in there, presented well. It should carry the subtitle: More Reasons You Should Hate Your Landlord, That Sniveling Shylock, Him And His Big Fat Tax Shelter.

Not his best but typical Jack Reacher novel.
I tried to read this, as it has been lauded as one of the best pieces of feminist fiction from our mother's generation. I can't get into it, struggled with what I did read, and haven't finished it! I keep it around though, determined to someday give it another chance - I just have way too many other promising books to read ahead of it!
Its about a boy who troughs a pair of shoes (they are hot) over a bridge, and land in a poor kids book bag.they both wind up at an all boys camp where you dig holes all day, and If you find something worth money you get the day off. Both the boys figure out the entire story, and run away together.
Absolutely fabulous book! Wish more people would read it. The illustrations catapult it high in the ranks of children's lit.
So the whole Aenea as Christ thing was a bit much. And the "romance" between her and Raul so pale and uninteresting that it did nothing to make me want to reach the end of the over 700 pages of tiresome, unedited detail. And there really was no reason for the sex scene in which Raul eats out Aenea. Was there? This much anticipated closing volume of the Hyperion cycle is enjoyable as a tale, but could have been hundreds of pages shorter. I love big, meaty reads, I admit, but shouldn't you want to get to the end of a story you've been following through the course of 4 novels? I didn't. I almost stopped reading it just because I didn't want to have to carry it with me around Europe anymore. But I stuck with it and finished it on the plane to Paris from Madrid. I hope whoever found it in the seat pocket just happens to want to read it. It's an effort.
