This book disturbed me to be honest. The misogyny and anti-semitism were a bit much. Very graphic and gory. I liked the Swedish scenery and coldness. Felt I was really there.

Okay, so I loved the writing. And the dogs and their part in the book was so interesting to me. I was a little lost (with the story) in the middle and somewhat at the end, but I still liked it. Edgar's relationships with "his" dogs was fascinating.

This is going back on my To Read list because I couldn't hold myself to it - I felt the pages and pages of description required more attention I've been willing to give to a book lately. I do think he's a brilliant writer, though, it's just that this book was going so slow... but eventually I'll finish it.

This was my last book of the summer, I thought, but I'm still reading another one, and I think that I'll finish by the weekend. I'm trying to get more summer reading in. I love to read in the summer. I've never read any of his Women's Murder Club mysteries. I think that this is a young adult book for adults. It was very simple reading and a formula book. I'm sure that lots of ladies love it and read every one. I'm pretty sure that I can skip most of them; it's probably my first and last. It was enjoyable, a diversion, entertainment, but not much meat or skills involved. I had some time off on my birthday and finished it then. Fun Fluff.
