A great starter book. It just touches upon a lot of different areas of real estate investing, but doesn't go into depth enough. Its great for someone thinking about real estate. Its a great reference book, but don't do what i did, which was try to read it cover to cover. That is why this book was a 10 year project even though it was 150 pages. Some good tips in the end about development. That was the best part of the book. Too bad it was at the end.

There are some gems for quotes in the first essay, but I felt the piece overall to be simultaneously too wandering and too technical (given that I haven't yet read much Bergson). Decided to pass on the second set of essays.

** spoiler alert ** As I said before in my Preview Simon and Zoë are normal people except the fact that Simon is a 300 years old vampire. Simon survived years and years for his revenge; but when he appeared in Zoë’s life he felt changes. now he care for someone’s safety and now he fear for someone. Zoë. On the other hand Zoë was a normal teenager until her mother’s sickness. Zoë fall for the boy with the silver hair and help him to reach his revenge at the very same time he help her to go through the idea of death. In the end Zoë helps Simon for his soul salvation and I know she will never forget his last words “I love you, Zoë. “ The characters are amazing and full of life comparing to the fact of death that taking over the story. Yes, from the moment you start reading you will believe that they do exist. The story has a well written a dramatic weaving, specially from Simon’s flash back story. What I am so sad about is that the story is so short. I wanted more events. Over all the author is so smart and wrote a perfect plot that will never gets you bored. I recommend this book for Young Adults +14: because some of the language and the scenes can never suite the minds of younger teens.

Beyond the message of Dickens and the author - that we can move beyond our orginal and limited expectations, I enjoyed revisiting Pip's coming of age and all the characters in Great Expectations. Seeing the novel through the eyes of a 13 year-old girl enduring hardship on an island under seige in the 1990s (a true historic event) is both humorous and painful. Clearly, an appreciation of Dickens' novel might be important to enjoying this novel. I loved it.

I am saddened that Stieg Larsson is gone and there will be no more Elizabeth Salander books, but at least they did finish the all story lines in this volume. Now I am enjoying the movies.

When people used to ask me who my favorite science fiction authors are, my answer was always "William Gibson and Neal Stephenson." I've read everything they've written, and even when the plot becomes convoluted, or the characters are not well-realized, the sheer force of imagination and excitement about the new ideas on each page always leaves me with a big smile on my face. That list is going to have to grow to three now, because Iain Banks has made me more excited as a reader of sci-fi than I've been in a while. Unlike, Gibson and Stephenson, who have each carved out their own niche with new subgenres (Gibson with cyberpunk, Stephenson starting with that and going off into a bunch of different directions, including a unique brand of historical fiction), Banks' Culture series uses the well-worn "space opera" with its spaceships and myriad alien races as a jumping-off point (probably best-known in the public consciousness for its adaptation to movies and TV...think Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battlestar Galactica). That's where similarities with other writers ends, though. Banks has created such a vivid, fully-realized, and unique universe to play with here, it can be hard to pull yourself away. Matter, one of his more recent entries in the series, starts with a bitter conflict and political intrigue on a war-torn planet, and gradually zooms out until you realize far greater forces are at work manipulating the events. One of Banks' gifts as a writer is the ability to take a reader from a very narrow focus on a single character one moment, and pull out to show how that character's actions affect a much larger set of events the next...and have each be equally interesting and engaging. Anyway, in case it wasn't clear, I'm in love with this guy, and recommend him to any sci-fi fan...the books in the series all stand alone for the most part...and I'd recommend "The Player of Games" as the most accessible in the series for a newbie.

The beginning is crushing and the author is obviously in love with her main character. There is an ironic choice in introducing another main character that is the last point on the love triangle that sets up the third in the series. The climax is rather disgusting though, and evil is more present in this book.

I have to admit, I'm often annoyed by motivational speakers and their sage advice. That being said, I did enjoy Sharma's guide. As summer draws to a close, this inspirationall read is a great way to renergize. Filled with buzz words, catch phrases and quotes, this easy read provides a nice combination of tips for a successful, happy and balanced professional and personal life. Sharma does a great job of boiling everything down to the most important things in life like being great by being happy.
