actually it's only "Rhinocerous", but they don't have that version posted i guess.
I chose to read this for an independent reading assignment during 7th grade! I'm not sure I even finished it... Why, Matt, why?

This was a fun awesome read. It dealt with humor a subject that could have been very sad. I loved it. I felt for Kendra and the things that she had to go through. I rooted for Val to be the right man for her. And his parents were hysterical....I've known people like them. Bryl has them down to a tee! I really want more from these characters and hope for more stories about them from Bryl R. Tyne.

I decided to read this book because Jodi Picoult mentioned Alice Hoffman as one of her favorite authors. Not really MY kind of book, but I enjoyed it. Her writing comes off as very "sweet". The book was very short and to the point, and yet I still felt like the characters were fairly well developed. I liked it, but not in my top books.
i loved sleeping beauty but this is 100 times better than it...

Worth reading. I couldn't help thinking that the doctor was a coward. Cowardly to not try to look past ugliness and befriend his creation. He had opportunity to try to get Justine released from her death penalty and didn't even try. He had opportunities to fight his creation and either fainted or failed to act. He couldn't even confess to his family or to the law what he had done. I loved the theme of accepting without letting outward appearances dictate our treatment of others.

My mother died from cancer shortly before my twelfth birthday and this might have been the first book about a cancer patient that I read; I did read it around that time. The first of many books as since that time period I’ve developed a rather morbid interest in reading books about cancer and cancer patients. I remember appreciating this one because it unflinchingly described what it was like to live with and die from cancer (the honesty extremely unusual for its time) and because I liked the exceptional 17 year old boy with the malignant brain tumor. Particularly wrenching as it’s a memoir written after he dies and it’s by the kid’s father, and there’s a essay in the back of the book by his mother as well.

fast read and interesting. I liked the style
